Zhiyang Fu

I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering with a minor in Optical Science at the University of Arizona in November, 2021. My dissertation work "Supervised and Self-supervised Learning for Accelerated Medical Imaging" was under the supervision of Prof. Ali Bilgin and Prof. Maria I. Altbach. My research interest lies in the intersection of machine learning and medical imaging. I am also interested in artifacts correction in medical imaging.

I am currently a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Arizona, mentored by Prof. Andrew Karellas and Prof. Srinivasan Vedantham . Our team has collabrations with Koning Corporation (West Henrietta, NY) and Advanced Breast-CT GmbH (Erlangen, Germany).

I enjoy playing Magic the gathering (MTG) draft. I log my draft at 17lands.com. I have also created a website, named limited staple , to illustrate template decks for each draft set based on the tropy decks on 17lands.com (currently set is The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth).
